FunctionResearch & Development - JaipurPay BandE4 to M2RoleVED-DesignA purpose driven role for youThe Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Design) is responsible for visualizing and generating feasible design concepts in 3D/2D, considering weight/cost targets. The Engineer/ Senior Engineer is responsible for doing the design and layout study of VED systems and ensures proper interfacing with adjoining systems. The Engineer/ Senior Engineer also needs to maintain tolerances stack resulting in gaps/flush variation on vehicle. The role involves all system & vehicle level validation for fitment and conduction of Pilot Production trials for mass production of new models
The Engineer/ Senior Engineer is also responsible for development of fabricated parts for new models and multi-sourcing of existing parts. The role involves part validation for fitment and conduction of Pilot Production trials for mass production of new models.A Day in the lifeSuggest VA/VE ideas to reduce the product material cost.
Chassis systems layout & design of all parts and layout finalization.
Engage in concept visualization and 3D/2D best practices
Carry out vendor evaluation for technical and process capability
Preparing design manualsAcademic Qualification & ExperienceBE/ BTech in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering from renowned InstituteTechnical Skills/Knowledge

• Knowledge of advance surfacing, 3D modelling and 2D drawing in Catia V5/ Any CAD tool.
• Good understanding of DFM/DFS/FMEA and GD&T.
• Knowledge of required manufacturing process in frame design.
• Component and subsystem level understanding
• Understanding of Project plans
• Understanding of material selection
• Can work independently on small design projects / problems
• Can break larger task into smaller tasks, and direct others in performing task, but understanding needed inputs and resources
• Can make project micro schedules.
