Job Summary:


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Used Water Management Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a graduate degree or equivalent in Urban Development, Management, Engineering, Planning, or Social Work and will have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in used water management in India. The role involves strategizing, planning, and implementing sustainable waste management practices while ensuring compliance with government regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategy and Planning:


Develop and implement solid waste management strategies and action plans in line with environmental sustainability goals.


Assess the current waste management systems and propose improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce environmental impact.


Collaborate with municipal authorities and local bodies to ensure proper integration of waste management initiatives.


Operations Management:


Oversee day-to-day solid waste collection, transportation, and disposal processes.


Ensure efficient segregation, recycling, and safe disposal of various types of waste.


Monitor and manage waste processing facilities, including composting and recycling plants.


Compliance and Regulation:


Ensure compliance with the used water Management Rules, 2016, and other relevant regulations.


Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies, addressing compliance issues and recommending corrective actions.


Stay updated on the latest regulations, policies, and guidelines from the government regarding waste management.


Community Engagement and Awareness:


Design and implement community awareness programs to promote waste segregation, recycling, and environmental consciousness.


Work with local communities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to drive participation in waste management initiatives.


Organize training sessions for staff and workers involved in waste management activities.


Monitoring and Reporting:


Monitor the performance and outcomes of waste management programs through regular audits and evaluations.


Collect and analyze data on waste generation, collection efficiency, and disposal methods.


Prepare detailed reports on waste management activities, including cost-benefit analyses and performance metrics.


Innovative Solutions and Sustainability:


Research and implement innovative technologies for waste processing, recycling, and waste-to-energy initiatives.


Advocate for sustainable practices within the organization and encourage the use of eco-friendly products and processes.


Foster partnerships with private and public entities to explore waste-to-energy projects and other innovative solutions.


Qualifications:


Education:


Graduate Degree/Equivalent in Urban Development, Management, Engineering, Planning, Social Work, or related fields.


Experience:


Minimum 3 years of professional experience in used water management in India.


Knowledge of municipal used water waste management regulations and best practices.


Skills:


Strong project management and leadership skills.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to work with local governments, communities, and other stakeholders.


Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
