Job Title: US Tax

Job Overview: The US Tax analyst to Manager is a lead role overseeing the Business clients with US and Cross-border operations. This position ensures compliance with state and federal tax regulations, tailored to SaaS product, Retail, and Service industries requirements. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, resolving tax issues, and supervising a team of tax associates and foster their professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance: Understand the Client Structure and identify the cross-border filing requirements. Based on the operation of the business, identify Income state nexus and filing requirements.
Return Preparation: Oversee the preparation of Business Corporate return, international forms and State income tax returns.
Technical Expertise: Expect a deeper understanding of corporate tax laws, GILTI taxes, IRC 174 Capitalization rules, etc.
Review and Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews of financial statements, simple and moderate Corporate and international forms like Form 1120, 5471,5472, 926 and state returns.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop tax associates by providing guidance and feedback to enhance their skills and performance.
Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their tax issues, offering solutions, and managing client relationships.
Project Management: Monitor engagement progress, work with the client to get the required data and resolve open items, improving efficiencies, and ensuring the timely delivery and completion of project.
Research and Development: Conduct tax research to identify alternative solutions, resolve issues, and drive technical skills enhancement for yourself and your team.
Teaching and Mentoring: Actively participate in firm committees and events, providing mentorship and leading by example to foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Enrolled Agent designation is preferred.
Experience: 1-7+ years of experience in U.S. Federal, State Tax compliance, with a focus on Corporate and International Tax returns.
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Forms 1120, 5471, 5472 and State Returns
Certifications: CPA or Enrolled Agent required.
Skills: Strong knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with compliance software.
