Responsibilities:
- Tax Preparation:
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts, adhering to IRS guidelines and deadlines.
- Review financial records, receipts, and other relevant documents to ensure completeness and accuracy in tax reporting.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and deductions to minimize clients\' tax liabilities while remaining compliant with tax laws.
- Tax Planning and Advisory:
- Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients, considering their financial goals, business activities, and personal circumstances.
- Advise clients on tax implications of various financial decisions, such as investments, retirement planning, and estate planning.
- Develop strategies to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks of audits or penalties.
- Client Communication and Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding tax-related matters, addressing their inquiries and providing timely updates.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing personalized tax solutions.
- Educate clients on tax laws, regulations, and changes that may impact their financial situation.
- Compliance and Representation:
- Represent clients in tax audits, examinations, and disputes with tax authorities, advocating on their behalf to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws, staying abreast of regulatory updates and changes that affect clients\' tax obligations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support tax filings and representations before tax authorities.
