Key Responsibilities: This role reports to Associate Director and interacts regularly with leadership. Responsible for sharing knowledge/information with peers and managing team leads. Identifying and addressing client needs (US engagement teams): building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships communicating value propositions managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials. Support the scheduling function within the Kolkata Tax Service Delivery Center (SDC). This position will work directly with the Team Leaders, Supervisors and HR to assign work to staff based upon the skill set and availability of the staff. It includes managing the process of deploying changes to our processes based on continuous improvement or support activity. Should have an experience in US Corporate, Operating Partnership tax returns (Form 1120 etc). OR Should have an experience in State & Local Tax. Sound understanding of relevant tax/accounting concepts. Manager review/2nd level Review of Tax Workpapers and Tax Returns (1120 Federal and SALT). Act as SMEs in their field of expertise. Act as Tax return signer/develop capabilities of signing returns (preferable to have EA certification) . Share relevant thought leadership with colleagues to enhance technical knowledge. Develop the opportunities for technical development through on the job learning and exposure. Ask relevant questions and communicate open items with clients. Keep up to date with tax technical / technology developments. Provides necessary training and development mapping for all team members. Coordinates execution of downtime activities during periods when workflow is down. Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm\'s/client\'s expectations. Achieve an annual utilization target of a minimum of 1200 hours. Should attend all the required training (both technical and soft skills) and achieve 120 training hours for the year. Develop new skills outside of your comfort zone for value addition to clients. Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties. Demonstrate intimate knowledge and/or direct managerial experience designing and maintaining process models. Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback. Requirements: 9 years of post qualification experience in taxation/ Tax Accounting/ General Accounting. CA with a Commerce graduation / MBA from a premier institute. US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent qualification is preferable. Proven thorough ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Expert knowledge of MS Office tools and Adobe Acrobat. Manage and build good rapport with the Territory stakeholders. Responsible for utilization and cross utilization of team members. Possesses sound project management skills. Ability to manage work independently and manage larger teams.Contributes to the development and improvement of processes, guidelines, training, and policy manuals.
