Develop and implement import, export, and distribution logistics strategies to support business objectives and customer requirements.
Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution activities including documentation for these functions.
Preparation of Delivery Orders, Purchase Orders, Invoices, Packing Lists, Duty Calculation Sheets, COO\xe2\x80\x99s and sending quotations.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and customs requirements to facilitate smooth movement of goods across borders.
Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, CHA\xe2\x80\x99s and other logistics service providers to negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements.
Follow up with DGFT and DGFT agents for approval, redemption and closure of Advance Licenses and other export related DGFT activities.
Monitor and track shipments in transit, proactively identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
Optimize inventory levels and distribution networks to minimize transportation costs, reduce lead times, and improve service levels.
Analyze logistics performance metrics, such as transportation costs, delivery accuracy, and inventory turnover, to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, customer service, and finance, to align logistics activities with business needs and objectives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and partners to facilitate efficient logistics operations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in import/export logistics, distribution management, or supply chain operations.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and transportation modes (air, sea, road, rail).
Experience with customs brokerage, freight forwarding, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP, TMS, WMS, and customs clearance platforms.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of logistics professionals.
Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP) is a plus.
