If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level. : This position provides support to Attorneys in the management and oversight of transactional and regulatory legal matters, including sourcing, and provides advice and counsel to internal clients (i.e., UPS functions). He/She researches information, prepares and reviews contracts and other legal documents, maintains contract template databases and weblinks, and directs incoming issues. This position works closely with outside counsel (OC) to ensure matters are handled effectively, collaborates with internal UPS functions to gather and provide information, and communicates with outside agencies. He/She may supervise Administrative Assistants where appropriate. This position performs other tasks as requested. Qualification Profile:
Qualification - LLB & CS mandatory
Experience - min. 7 years
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing contractual arrangements with suppliers/customers, NDA, RFQ and so on. Strong knowledge and experience of at least 5 years in contract reviews;
Draft various Notices and revert to various notices from Customs and employment law perspective;
Assist in Litigation Management, strong in negotiating the fee with external counsels;
Strategize debt recoveries, issue notices and provide complete support to collection team;
Works very closely with the all the functions to support with risk and compliance evaluation;
Advising on good governance practices and compliance of Corporate Governance norms as prescribed under various Corporate, Securities and Other Business Laws and regulations and guidelines;
Assists in developing a corporate and social sustainability framework;
Handles the promotion, formation, winding up of companies and matters related therewith;
Responsible for filing, registering any document including forms, returns and applications by and on behalf of the company as an authorized representative;
Acts as the custodian of corporate records, statutory books and registers;
Manages the Compliance Audit;
Will be responsible to represent UPS and other connected persons before various boards and forums including but not limited to Company Law Board, Registrar of Companies, Tax Tribunals, Consumer Forums, district and high courts and Other quasi-judicial bodies and Tribunals;
Will implementing procedural/administrative systems;
Ensuring policies are kept current, are approved, and that company members are aware of their implications;
Writing reports, maintaining current awareness about company law;
Administrative Activities - MIS Logs, Litigation Management, Filling of documents, Debt Recovery
