Introduction: We are in need of a User Interface Engineer / Developer to join our expanding Surveillance development team in the world-class Pune office. This person will be involved in integrated surveillance build out which will require excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in User Interface build out using Java and graph technologies in combination with big data (Hadoop - Cloudera stack) technologies like hive, spark, Kafka, Angular JS to architect, develop and support sophisticated analytics pipeline using Machine Learning algorithms. Serves as SME for UI Developer and align his/her understanding with overall purpose of the project and contribute in design, development, testing and maintenance on Big Data Platform. Supports the Project Manager as well as Architect Owners in build frameworks and technical design and develop code with clear scope and acceptance criteria in line with Agile delivery methodology. Act as a Senior developer and generate flow diagrams, tables, mock-ups and other methods to ensure features and stories are presented without ambiguity when designing the solution. Technical ownership of code delivery and ensuring code quality is maintained. Involve in test phases and work towards early resolution of defects and ensuring permanent fix. Effective liaison with Infrastructure, Hadoop admin and other engineering teams. Technical Design, Develop and Implement Change Requests (CR) for Business. Adhere to Agile methodology, ensure requirements documentation complies with Agile and audit standards. Adhere to all Barclays, Group centre and compliance technology standards, policies and governance practices. Contributes to and use best practices and standards including Barclays Values & Behaviours. What will you be doing Design and develop User Interface to support graphical visualization and data insights. Good knowledge and experience of PHP development utilizing ZEND, Laravel, CodeIgniter framework. Experience in working with RESTFUL Web Services and implementing RESTFUL API. Strong experience on RDBMS (MariaDB, MySQL, MS SQL) with good SQL concepts. Good hands on experience in UNIX OS along with a good exposure to shell scripting. Good experience in working with Agile Methodology and practices. Proficient with fundamental front-end language such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and Ajax. Familiar with JavaScript framework such as Angular JS, React. Proficient with server side languages such as PHP, Python. Defining and setting development, test, release, update and support processes for DevOps operation. Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project. Build and deploy CICD pipeline using Jenkins with multiple technologies like AWS. Design robust code from the point of view of performance, reuse and supportability, proper controls, consistent with best practices and with appropriate documentation. Implement organization mandated SDLC /Agile processes and built in controls for consistent delivery. Demonstrate proactive and independent attitude while identifying or approaching a problem. Show ability to identify the root cause, coming up with an efficient solution and if needed appropriately escalate issues & risks. Train new members (both onshore and offshore) which includes code-reviews, mentoring to bring them up to speed. Should be able to quickly understand current environment and work closely with Offshore/Onsite development teams, infrastructure teams, support and source systems contacts. Discuss requirements and testing details with Tech Lead, Data Scientist, QA and business stakeholders. Demonstrate ability to self-learn new technologies. Should be actively plugged into development and technology advancement happening in our domain/industry. Possess good business domain knowledge in Compliance, Financial Crime and Financial Services. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequently changing priorities. What we\'re looking for: Bachelor\'s Degree. 3-5 years of experience. Hands-on experience as a User Interface developer over 3 years with a proven record of multiple successful deliveries Experience with PHP (at least 3 years), MariaDB (at least 3 years), Angular (at least 2 years), Hands-on in UNIX (at least 3 years), Autosys (at least 2 years), and Cloud (at least 2 years) Understanding of Agile methodologies as well as SDLC life-cycles and processes. Experience in a variety of database technologies mainly MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL server. Good understanding of analytics and machine learning algorithms. Excellent analytical skills and Compliance business knowledge. Extremely organized and should have good oral and written communication skills. Team player and ability to gel-well with global team and support them as needed. Highly self-motivated with a confident \'do the right thing\' attitude. Hands-on experience with any Business Intelligence tools (preferably Tableau) Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, JIRA, Nolio, CHEF). Skills that will help you in the role: Familiarity with cloud concepts, services and cloud service providers like (AWS, Azure). Familiarity with Tableau/REST API/NoSQL is a plus. Familiarity with Financial service domain. Very Good communication and organizational skills. Very Good analytical skills. Promote Automation, reusable components. Ability to understand business requirements and design software solutions. Quick learner strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with numerous tasks simultaneously and with frequently changing priorities.
