Job Description

The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are looking for a highly skilled and experienced tunnel supervisor, to join a global leader in construction sector for one of India's largest infrastructure projects involving the construction of several tunnels and bridges.This is a great opportunity to work for a significant construction company, working alongside some of the most experienced specialists in the industry to continue developing and further you career.Job Role/Responsibilities:

• Supervise all tunnelling activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) or other excavation methods as applicable.
• Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation (labour, materials, and equipment).
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure quality control of tunnelling works.
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on-site.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, including subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the project manager.

ProjectThe infrastructure project is based in a state in Northern India crossed by the Himalayas. It consists of the construction of several tunnels and bridges to form a railway line.Requirements:

• English speaking
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in tunnelling or underground works, ideally on railway or infrastructure projects.
• Proven expertise in TBM operations, NATM techniques, or other tunnelling methods.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Prior international experience, especially in India or similar markets, is advantageous.
