The candidate we seek, needs to have a proven track record in databases & GCP data migration. Deep technical skills and experience with working on GCP.You will also be required to participate in stakeholder management, highlight risks, propose deliver plans and estimate for time and team size based on requirements. Hence, adequate levels of communication skills and relevant experience in handling such situations is desired.Your work profileAs a Senior Consultant in our Cloud Engineering Team you\'ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -Your main responsibilities will be:Build/implement solutions to ingest, store and process data using standard tools such as SQL and other scripting languages. Work with large datasets and develop data pipelines that move data from source systems to data warehouses (e.g. Big Query), databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server), data lakes and other data storage and processing systems. Develop and maintain ETL processes, data integration systems and data consumption layers such as dashboards (e.g. Looker).Here are some examples of list of tasks:Work with Google Cloud architects to understand use cases, data needs and develop solutions to meet those needsBuild/implement data pipelines that move data from source systems/databases to target datastores/databasesDatabase migration (from source DB in one platform to GCP) and Data Warehouse modernization (legacy DWH to BQ for example)Develop and maintain ETL (extract, transform, load) processesHave extensive SQL Skill writing Complex TransformationMonitor and optimize data pipelinesTroubleshoot technical issuesEffective communication and presentation abilities, with previous experience in direct client interactions.Desired qualifications5+ years experience in design, development, and maintenance of data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Good hands-on experience in GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Dataproc, Cloud Composer/Airflow, and IAM.Must have proficient experience in GCP Databases : Bigtable, Spanner, CloudSQL and AlloyDBProficiency in SQL, Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and scripting.Experience in development and test automation processes through the CI/CD pipeline (Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Docker containers)Experience in automating data processing tasks using tools like Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow.Experience in Application, and Data migration projects either for on-prem data centers to Cloud or between Cloud to CloudStrong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data processing conceptsOptimize data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency, adhering to GCP best practices.Implement data quality checks, data validation, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and integrity.Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.Location and way of workingBase location: Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, DelhiThis profile does not involve extensive travel for work.Hybrid is our default way of working.
