Duties Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in the Office of Facility Management (FAC), U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. The incumbent will serve as a commercial vehicle driver to operate a wide variety of heavy duty vehicles such as pick-up truck, water delivery truck, fork lift, Cherry picker/lifter, BOB CAT and passenger vans to transport passengers and materials for the Facility Management Operations mission wide. S/he will be responsible to accurately complete trip tickets and motor vehicle usage reports and ensure that the vehicle is maintained in good operating condition. S/he will report any vehicle damage or irregularities to the dispatcher. S/he will work on emergency duty hours for providing necessary services to the mission residences. The incumbent will be required to support motor pool for VIP visits. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned by the office. Note: The incumbent will be expected to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, prepare reports, and communicate with law enforcement officers and the public.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years of full-time/incidental experience as a professional truck driver.

Education Requirements:
Completion of Senior Secondary School (Class XII) is required.
Indicate on the qualifications questionnaire all the education details as relevant for the position (Class XII and/or higher for this vacancy). (Your answer should also let us know if you have completed Class X or XII or any other degree or vocational courses. Also, please specify the name of the Certificate/Degree/Diploma course and the major subjects for each qualification you possess.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE REQUIRED:
Limited knowledge in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.
AND
Limited knowledge in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
: Valid Indian Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license is required.
Please attach a copy of the valid Indian driving license with the application along with all the mandatory/required documents. Applications which do not have a copy of the license will not be accepted.

Please note: U.S. Government regulations require all Chauffeurs or Incidental drivers for official vehicles to be 25 years of age or older.

Any applicant that possess a valid driving license issued for less than 5 years will not be considered. Please note 5 years should have been completed by the Closing date of the vacancy.

The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office. Other Information:
