Overview

Trim & Chassis Engineer

Responsibilities

experience in upstream process engineering studies for Trim & Chassis projects (digital examination, 3D modelling & simulation, Operation sheet creation, process requirement checks)

• Digital validation.

• Receive inputs from customer (Compo No, Part details, FOP, Ref. data, Scan data, PR sheets, Project access, Standards, Formats) & understand output required

• Refer manuals / procedures / check sheets / previous project data & results for each type of work scope.

• Examine inputs, understand process and generate queries if required

• Try to find out answers from past data or with the help of digital leader before sending queries to customer

• For FPR projects, collect information of similar parts of competitors based on following criteria (technology, pre-assembly, assembly, usage of standard parts, DST, Ergonomics, Flexibility, Quality).

• Schedule activity (including progress review meetings) in line with customer requirements & get agreement from customer.

• Perform Part trajectory study/ equipment examination / 3D simulation / 3D modelling / upstream process studies / Operation sheet creation / Process benchmarking / Process reqt check etc., as per schedule following standard procedure.

• Do self-quality check by following quality check sheet.

• Track & record daily progress of the activity. Make recovery plan to meet schedule in case of delays.

• Report to leader immediately in case of delay / blocking points & deviations

• Review results with leader on periodical basis, get feedback and do corrections.

• Prepare Lessons learnt report for errors & prepare/redefine procedure for recurrence prevention.

• Participate in periodical review meetings with customers.

• Deliver output to customer in required format as per plan after getting leader\xe2\x80\x99s approval
• KPI management (QCT).

• Achieve FTR, OTD & N-value targets on weekly basis & project level.
• Root cause analysis & countermeasure for concerns/delays using QC story approach
• Prepare alliance procedure / manual for upstream process engineering activities (Alliance synergy)

• Process standardization & Standard work time reduction (Job efficiency improvement)

• Achieve KPIs of Quality of Management & Total Quality Management
• On job training & multi skill development to improve Skill sufficiency to handle diversified tasks.

Qualifications

Diploma / BE in Mech / Automobile Engg with expertise in CATIA / Enovia / Space vision / Process simulator / Unigraphics software
