Position Summary:
The Travel Sales Associate is responsible for selling travel packages and services to clients, including flights, accommodations, tours, and other travel-related services. The role requires excellent customer service skills, thorough knowledge of travel products, and the ability to meet sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation:
• Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences and requirements.
• Provide personalized travel advice and recommendations based on clients' needs.
Sales and Bookings:
• Sell a variety of travel products, including flights, hotels, cruises, and tours.
• Process bookings accurately and efficiently using reservation systems.
• Manage payment transactions and ensure all bookings are confirmed.
Customer Service:
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to travel bookings.
• Provide post-booking support and assistance, including itinerary changes and cancellations.
Product Knowledge:
• Stay updated with the latest travel trends, destinations, and product offerings.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of travel products.
Sales Targets:
• Achieve individual and team sales targets set by the Sales Manager.
• Participate in promotional activities and campaigns to drive sales.
Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain accurate records of bookings and client interactions.
• Prepare and present sales reports to management.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the travel industry.
• Strong knowledge of travel products and destinations.
• Proficiency in using travel booking systems and reservation software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
Skills:
• Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous but not required.
