The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the transportation department. This role involves managing drivers, coordinating fleet schedules, ensuring vehicle maintenance, and overseeing logistics for the efficient and safe movement of goods. The Transport Supervisor ensures that all activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise drivers and manage fleet schedules for timely deliveries.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance and safety checks are regularly completed.
• Coordinate logistics to optimize transportation routes and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and resolve transportation issues.
• Monitor budgets and control costs for fuel, maintenance, and staffing.
• Generate reports on fleet performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Experience in transportation management or a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management and vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
