Transport Planner / Modeller

As a Transport Planner/Analyst, competent in Micro-Simulation transport modelling in PTV Vissim. He/she will be responsible for quality project delivery. Good understanding of transport planning Global Delivery type business area and should be a team player as well as task manager. Exhibits clear progression towards a technical career path. Ensure clean delivery with close coordination with Team lead, project manager, delivery team and project reviewer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines

• Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or service

• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions

• Works independently, receives minimal guidance

• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

• May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives

• Masters degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering.

• 3-6 years of professional experience. We are looking for someone with recent and relevant Hands-on experience.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in using standard micro-simulation modelling in PTV Vissim for Vehicular and Pedestrian simulations.

• Demonstrable experience in PTV VISSIM software, traffic engineering, ability to produce clear, precise and coherent analysis, reports and plots from transport models.
• Experience in macro-modelling software like PTV VISUM or CUBE is added advantage

• Relevant experience in working with Global Delivery type of setup.
• Working knowledge in Traffic Impact Assessment studies and Traffic Design services is preferred.

• Ability to work both as part of a sophisticated multi-disciplinary team as well as possessing the ability to work independently to solve problems.
• Capable of working under challenging workload subject to short notice.
• Due to international nature of the role we expect that you will share our global mindset, are willing to work in an international environment and are fluent in English
• Your communications skills in English should be very good, both written and verbal. You are expected to explain and present work to colleagues of various levels in other countries
