Job Title: Transport Manager

Job Summary: As a Transport Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of transportation operations, ensuring cost-effective and efficient processes while meeting legal requirements and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing a team, coordinating with various stakeholders, and optimizing transportation routes and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management:
• Plan and coordinate transportation operations to ensure timely delivery of goods or passengers.
• Manage and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and fleet management to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor transportation costs and implement cost-saving strategies where possible.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of drivers, logistics coordinators, and support staff.
• Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and capabilities in transportation operations.
• Set objectives and KPIs for the team and monitor performance to ensure targets are met.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation activities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation laws and regulations.
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance across all transportation operations.
• Customer Service:
• Liaise with customers to understand their transportation needs and ensure service delivery meets expectations.
• Resolve any transportation-related issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Logistics Coordination:
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to manage transportation logistics effectively.
• Collaborate with warehouse and distribution managers to optimize supply chain processes.
• Budget Management:
• Develop and manage transportation budgets, including expenditures for fuel, maintenance, and personnel.
• Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks in transportation operations and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure proper insurance coverage for vehicles, goods, and personnel involved in transportation activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Transport Manager or similar role in transportation and logistics.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations or emergencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications in transportation management or logistics (e.g., CPC, CMILT) may be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

• The job may require irregular hours and occasional travel to oversee operations or meet with stakeholders.

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month
