Job Title: Training & Placement Coordinater

Department: Career Services

Reports To: Director, Career Services

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate recruiters from various industries, particularly those relevant to University's academic programs.
• Identify and secure internship and full-time job opportunities for students aligned with their academic interests and career aspirations.
• Organize and conduct industry-specific workshops, career fairs, and skill development programs for students.
• Develop and deliver training sessions to equip students with essential job search skills, including resume writing, interview preparation, and professional networking.
• Manage and maintain the University's online job portal, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for both students and employers.
• Track student placement rates and identify areas for improvement in the Career Services program.
• Stay updated on industry trends and job market demands to adapt training programs and strategies accordingly.
• Liaise with academic departments to understand student skill sets and career goals.
• Build and maintain a positive image of University among potential employers.

Qualifications:

• Any degree will work
• Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in Training & Placement or a similar role within the education sector.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate recruiters.
• Coordinating students, and knows about company tie-ups for the interview.
• Must have background from College/University/Institute.
• Experience in developing and delivering training programs on career development and job search skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working within the same industry as University's focus areas.
• Demonstrated success in exceeding student placement targets.
• Understanding of current industry trends and job market demands.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.

Salary:

Competitive salary package with a ?60k-70k + per month.
