Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct

theoretical and practical

training sessions on

sewing machine operation

and garment stitching. Train candidates in

different types of sewing machines

, including single needle, overlock, flatlock, and industrial machines. Demonstrate

cutting, measuring, stitching, and finishing

techniques. Educate trainees on

fabric types, thread selection, and maintenance

of sewing machines. Ensure adherence to

safety protocols and best practices

in the sewing industry. Assess trainees' performance and provide

feedback for skill improvement

. Conduct

hands-on workshops

to enhance technical competency. Maintain

training records, batch reports, and progress tracking

. Support candidates in

job placement assistance

by preparing them for industry requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Must have

proficient knowledge of single needle and double needle industrial machines

. Minimum

1-3 years

of experience as a Sewing Machine Operator or Trainer. In-depth knowledge of

sewing techniques, stitching patterns, machine operations, including single needle and double needle industrial machines

. Prior experience in

training and capacity-building programs

is preferred. Ability to teach

both beginners and experienced workers

. Strong

communication and interpersonal skills

. Understanding of

quality control

and

workplace safety regulations

. Basic knowledge of

garment production processes

is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Sewing & Tailoring

from a recognized institution. Experience in working with

skilling projects like PMKVY, DDUGKY, CSR, or other government initiatives

. Knowledge of

basic troubleshooting and maintenance

of sewing machines.
