We are looking for Assistant Merchant profile for the company based out of Indore. Qualification required- Bachelors in Fashion designing only.
Job description-
The Assistant Merchant supports the merchandising team by handling inspection documentation, coordinating sampling trims, preparing cutting programs, and updating order sheets. This role ensures timely updates, coordinates with buyers and suppliers, and assists in maintaining the flow of production processes to meet quality and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities-
? Inspection and Documentation:
? Upload inspection documents in Blue Kaktus.
? Program and Order Management:
? Prepare cutting programs based on production needs.
? Update order sheets with relevant information.
? Sampling and Coordination:
? Arrange sampling trims from buyers or suppliers.
? Follow up on PP sample requests and coordinate inspection (inline & midline).
? Follow up on PSS and bulk fabric.
? Buyer and Supplier Interaction:
? Follow up with buyers for approval of trim cards, shade cards, etc.
? Handle sample comments and ensure timely follow-up with buyers.
? PPM Meetings:
? Conduct Pre-Production Meetings (PPM) before starting a new style.
? Addon Proact Activities:
? Participate and manage Addon Proact activities.
? Fabric Claims:
? Work on fabric claims and resolve any issues related to fabric quality.
? DPR Updates:
? Update Daily Production Reports (DPR) regularly.
? Inspection Requests:
? Manage and submit inspection requests (inline & midline).
? Process Improvement:
? Implement a minimum of 2 kaizens per month to enhance processes and efficiency.
Reporting Structure
? Reports to: Senior Merchant or [Merchandising Manager]
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
? Timeliness:
? Document Uploads: Inspection documents uploaded to Blue Kaktus by the end of the business day.
? Cutting Program Preparation: Cutting programs prepared at least 1 day before production starts.
? Order Sheet Updates: Relevant columns in order sheets updated within 1 day of receiving new information.
? Approval Follow-Up: Trim card and shade card approvals followed up with buyers within 2 days.
? Accuracy:
? Inspection Documentation: Inspection documents uploaded with 98% accuracy.
? Order Sheet Updates: Maintain 99% accuracy in updating order sheets.
? Efficiency:
? Sampling Trim Arrangement: Sampling trims arranged within 2 days of request from buyers/suppliers.
? PPM Meetings: PPM meetings conducted 100% before starting a new style.
? Fabric Claims Resolution: Fabric claims addressed and resolved within 5 days.
? Process Improvement:
? Kaizens: Successfully implement at least 2 process improvements per month.
? Coordination:
? Inspection Coordination: Ensure in-house inspections are coordinated without delays.
? DPR Updates: DPR updated daily with accurate information.
