Karma Play is seeking a highly motivated Trainee Video Game Community Manager.

About Karma Play

Founded in 2018, Karma Play creates video games for the PC, consoles and mobiles. Our first game, Old Skool Racer is now available on Steam and Epic Store. We are currently working on two other game projects.



The Trainee Video Game Community Manager will be responsible for the creation and execution of the social and community marketing strategy for all games released by Karma Play.

In this position, you will not only support the success of all future releases, but also nurture a growing community of players, help recognise and cultivate brand advocates and evangelists, and continually develop the studio's ongoing brand and reputation.

Responsibilities:

Strategise, plan and execute the social and community marketing strategy with the objective of increasing title awareness, growing player communities, increasing social following, developing brand reputation, and boosting sales

Identify new opportunities to improve social media outreach

Run the company's social media channels including Discord

Create new social media channels to promote the games

Act as the voice of the players by regularly reporting feedback to the development team

Manage the company's online reputation, monitoring and responding to player comments in relevant forums and online reviews including Steam

Prepare regular press releases and key assets for the media including game screenshots, gameplay videos

Create key assets for use on social media such as Reddit, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to assess the impact of the advertising campaigns

Build, maintain, and grow mutually beneficial long-term relationships with key members of the community as well as the game streaming community

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a releant subject, preferably video editing, marketing and/or communication

Excellent written and spoken English language skills

Excellent familiarity with social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Reddit

A passion for video games and a regular game player with the the ability to form relationships with a wide variety of individuals

Proven experience with image and video editing tools like Adobe Photoshop and CyberLink PowerDirector

Desirable Qualifications:

Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics

Previous experience running social media campaigns

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 40 per week
