Trainee TestOps EngineerOnit - Pune, Maharashtra, India - Full TimeAbout the Role:We are looking for highly motivated and passionate Trainee TestOps Engineers to join our growing Cloud Engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates and PG Diploma holders specializing in IT Infrastructure, System Security, or High-Performance Computing/System Administration.You will undergo structured training focused initially on functional testing in sandbox and staging AWS environments. Over time, you will transition into automation testing in the DevOps ecosystem, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment processes.Training Roadmap:Phase 1: (0-6 Months) xe2x80x93 Functional Testing FoundationsIntroduction to TestOps practices and the companyxe2x80x99s Dev/Test environments.Perform functional testing on applications and services across sandbox and staging AWS accounts.Learn tools and processes for test planning, execution, and reporting.Training in automation testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Postman, k6, Playwright, Cypress).Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand application workflows and user stories.Phase 2: (Post 6 Months) xe2x80x93 DevOps Automation & Infrastructure TestingTraining in automation testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, PyTest, or similar).Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab Webhooks, GitHub Actions for pipeline testing.Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning tools xe2x80x93 Terraform, Ansible.Involvement in test automation for DevOps workflows and validation of AWS infrastructure deployments.Key Responsibilities:Execute manual/automated functional test cases on new and existing features.Identify, report, and verify defects in test environments.Maintain detailed documentation of test cases and results.Participate in daily stand-ups, testing & deployments to sandbox, staging environments as part of our DevOps development cycle.Gradually support automation test development and contribute to test pipeline integration.Requirements:Educational Qualifications:Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering ORPG Diploma in:IT Infrastructure & System Security (PG DITISS)High-Performance Computing in System Administration (PG DHPCSA)Skills & Attributes:Basic understanding of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.Familiarity with AWS cloud basics is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and best practices in QA and DevOps.Exposure to any scripting language (Bash, Python, etc.).Experience participating in team sports, which demonstrates teamwork, discipline, and performance under pressure.Powered by JazzHR
