Position Summary We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our RCM Team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
Generate and submit accurate and timely invoices to insurance companies, government agencies, and patients.
Verify billing codes and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and payer guidelines.
Resolve billing discrepancies and rejections promptly to expedite payment processing.
Review and process insurance claims, including electronic and paper submissions.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, identify reasons for denials, and resubmit corrected claims as necessary.
Collaborate with billing specialists and coding professionals to ensure accurate claim submissions.
Conduct regular follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and other stakeholders to resolve unpaid claims and overdue invoices.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, insurance companies, and other parties regarding billing inquiries, payment arrangements, and account disputes.
Educate patients on insurance coverage, payment options, and financial assistance programs.
Adhere to healthcare regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and billing compliance standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing processes.
Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement systems, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
