Develop and optimize transportation routes and schedules to minimize costs and ensure on-time deliveries. Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to negotiate rates, services, and service level agreements (SLAs). **Inventory Management:** Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts, overstock situations, and unnecessary holding costs. Work closely with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure efficient inventory turnover and accuracy. **Documentation and Compliance:** Maintain meticulous records of shipments, invoices, and other logistics-related documentation. Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, customs procedures, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols. **Communication and Coordination:** Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments, suppliers, and customers regarding logistics and transportation-related matters. Provide timely updates on shipment status, delays, and resolutions to issues. Resolve transportation-related problems and disputes promptly to minimize disruptions. **Cost Control:** Monitor and analyze transportation and logistics expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Prepare and manage the transportation budget to align with the companys financial goals. **Performance Metrics:** Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and transportation, such as on-time delivery rates, transit time accuracy, and transportation cost per unit. Continuously analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. **Risk Management:** Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain, such as adverse weather conditions, equipment breakdowns, or supplier-related challenges. Requirements Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
