You will be working as Trade & Transportation Specialist and will be part of Process Automation business Area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for local import or export operations. Supervising performance of customs brokers. Ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities Supporting the selection process of forwarders and customs brokers. Collaborating with the warehouse team or 3PL (third-party logistics provider) to verify that all relevant processes for unloading or loading are in place, controlled and documented Working closely with transport service providers, customs brokers to assure efficient and effective execution of processes, assists in obtaining necessary transport permits, codes, preparing proper transportation paperwork and import or export documentation Verifying the accuracy of billing, documentation issued by the forwarders (KPIs, costs, etc.) and preparing transportation performances reports. Conducting regular (e.g., monthly) performance reviews with relevant suppliers and following up on action items Ensuring that the import, inbound, outbound and export documentation is properly managed and resolving operational issues. Ensuring the domestic movement of goods within India accompanied with proper documentation Planning, executing and monitoring transport-related activities within a local unit, ensuring high-quality transport operations. Optimizing transport operations by choosing optimal transport option and implementing consolidation strategies when applicable Supporting the development and implementation of improved processes, systems and maintaining master data Your background Bachelor\'s degree or Master degree in M Com or MBA or BCom or BBA Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in domestic logistics, export and import. Contract negotiation, order booking, sourcing strategies and supplier performance Hands on experience in FEMA and EXIM Knowledge on SAP applications More about us Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries.
