As the Portfolio Manager in our Portfolio Management Team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm

Job responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Senior Portfolio Manager, the incumbent will act as a resource for investment communication with trust clients, particularly co-trustees who share investment responsibility with the Bank
  • Create trade proposals for Shared Authority accounts to execute on current tactical themes or address open risk items for assigned accounts
  • Conduct investment reviews to validate client investment objectives and ensure compliance with the investment mandate and risk guidelines
  • Have a controls mindset, be able to identify control gaps in the processes and implement innovative methods for making the processes stronger
  • Work with various internal partners to complete multiple business initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of each account\'s unique requirements and sensitivities
  • Relationship management with internal clients across all of the above and deliver critical and time sensitive processes with high level of accuracy within agreed timelines

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • An MBA or post-graduate degree in Finance or related area. Progress towards a CFA is a plus
  • 1-2 year of work experience in Financial Services or Trade Operations or Middle Office or Portfolio Management / Analytics Strong interest in financial markets and understanding of investment products
  • Detail and goal oriented, process focused

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Hard working, ability to operate in a fast-moving, demanding and team oriented environment
  • Strong aptitude to identify and minimize investment, business risk and process risk
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, ability to automate and improve processes using scripting languages (Python,R) would be a plus
  • Attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication
