At Siemens Gamesa we make real what matters, join our global team. - we ensure design for manufacturability We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen our \'Industrial Manufacturing & Materials\' department within Technology Tower and Foundation. Our team is involved in everything from sales- and execution projects to Technology Development and New Product Development. We are responsible for ensuring manufacturability of our tower- and foundation engineering designs. We handle not only manufacturability in relation to the design, but also drawings, production specifications and assessment of production deviations. We are located in The Hague (NL), Pamplona and Zaragoza (ES), Vejle and Skovlunde (DK), Shanghai (CN), Hamburg (DE) and Chennai (IN). The current position is open for the Indian offices in Chennai and Bangalore. Occasional (international) travel is part of the project work. What are the key responsibilities associated with the job In our sales and execution projects you are responsible for the manufacturability of the tower and foundation. This ranges from supporting in the initial contract review all the way through to non-conformance handling in production and warranty cases in operation. In this role you will align with many stakeholders on project specific requirements. These include, but are not limited to technical project managers, tower designers, quality assurance engineers, suppliers, third party certification bodies and clients. Key deliverables are the production specifications covering fabrication, welding, metrology, (non-destructive) testing and corrosion protection. You will have detailed knowledge in some of these areas and basic knowledge in the others. Our team is deeply involved in developing our next generation turbines and the new technologies that enable them. As a manufacturing engineer you will be assigned to these projects to ensure design for manufacturability. Furthermore, you will support with technical knowledge in supply chain development. What is needed from you to make a difference Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change is important for us As the ideal candidate, it is our wish that: you hold at minimum a MSc degree in mechanical or materials engineering or an equivalent field proven experience working as a manufacturing engineer is beneficial. It is considered an advantage when you have experience in the wind industry and when you are familiar with relevant standards. you are an International Welding Engineer and have non-destructive testing (NDT) qualifications. you can work with several tasks at once and know how to prioritize. you are a team player, who takes initiatives and at the same time work independently and keep calm in busy situations. you are proficient in English, both in reading and writing.
