Tool Design Engineer Company: Alcom Extrusions Pvt Ltd Role: Tool Design Engineer Experience: 4 to 7 y Location: Hyderabad Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for tools, jigs, and fixtures based on manufacturing requirements. \xc2\xb7 Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create 2D and 3D models of tools. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that tools are designed for optimal functionality, efficiency, and safety. \xc2\xb7 Experience on Clamping mechanisms and cam designs. \xc2\xb7 Experience in Design of Welding Posioners and rotary tables. \xc2\xb7 Experience Design of winding Machine. \xc2\xb7 Experience in mechanics of Rollers and it\'s behaviours \xc2\xb7 Designing the special tools required during manufacturing process such as turning fixtures, \xc2\xb7 Design Experience on milling fixtures, drill jigs, special cutting tools, gauges, etc \xc2\xb7 Experience on Press tools, forming and bending tools & Calculations. \xc2\xb7 Design of jigs & fixtures, sizing tools, for precession components & some kind of special tools. \xc2\xb7 Regular follow up with vendors \xc2\xb7 Assembly Responsibility for Jigs & Fixtures \xc2\xb7 Preparing Documentation for tool designing Department activities as per ISO Standards. \xc2\xb7 Preparing Casting drawings for fixtures. \xc2\xb7 Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to understand their needs and requirements. \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance and maintenance, to ensure tool designs meet industry standards and regulations. \xc2\xb7 Create prototypes of tools and fixtures for testing and evaluation. \xc2\xb7 Conduct testing to ensure the functionality, durability, and safety of tools. \xc2\xb7 Analyse test results and modify designs as necessary. \xc2\xb7 Conduct cost analysis for tool design projects, considering materials, manufacturing processes, and labour. \xc2\xb7 Optimize designs to meet cost targets without compromising quality or performance. \xc2\xb7 Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, reports, and manuals. \xc2\xb7 Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and project timelines. \xc2\xb7 Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in tooling technology, and manufacturing processes. \xc2\xb7 Implement improvements to existing tools and processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications and Skills: \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. \xc2\xb7 Proven experience in tool design, preferably in a manufacturing environment. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing tools. \xc2\xb7 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and collaboration skills. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials. \xc2\xb7 Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
