Objectives of the Position

• Fulfill tranportation planning requirement for BULK movements from BASF India's manufacturing plants with high service levels & optimum costs
• Take care of delivery requirements of customer (internal & external) & service issue resolutions
• Perform operations within approved costs & deliver service excellence
• Focus on high quality service delivery & establish internal relationships to display expertise
• Monitor & rate the service performance of logistics service providers against defined key performance indicators & service level agreements
• Actively contribue & recomment improvement areas in service for supplier development
• Analyze & provide oppourtinities for improvement, optimization & effective management of logistics service providers, including reglular performance reviews structural improvements with LSPs & Business units
• Support development of risk assessmemts as well as contingency plans & apply respective measures in collaboration with service providers & internal stake holders
• Work on projects, often from initial idea through design, review & completion
• Foster a One team culture by collaborating with various stake holders in BASF India Limited & supply chain operations

Main Tasks

• Transportation Planning of BULK shipments (inbound & Outbound) for BUs by managing vehicle availability to ensure the forecasted sales volumes are met, by working closely with stakeholders.
• Maintain desired service levels as defined in the KPIs.
• Conduct regular & structured service provider performance reviews.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement within the value chain & process flows pertaining to transportation.
• Perform RCA & CAPA when required to strengthen process & develop potential solutions to address process gaps.
• Analyze & interpret shipping data for representation of performance & enhance business centric approach towards problem solving.
• Successfully manage small & medium sized projects in digitization & efficiency improvement.

Minimum Education and qualification required for the Position

Education: Engineering Degree or above from reputed institute. Degree in Logistics, supply chain or related discipline would be preferred.

Working Experience: 4 - 6 years' experience in Logistics & Transportation related work areas, work experience in chemical industry would be preferred

Technical & Professional Knowledge:



• Knowledge of overall Transportation processes
• Knowledge of SAP processes in logistics operations
• Numeracy skills, able to interpret data
• Ability to deal with cross functional work streams
• Knowledge of logistics service provider management
• Proficient in English & Hindi, written & verbal communication.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Power point
