Maintain a functional work area that is consistent with Five "S" and Lean Manufacturing principles Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements. Prepare materials for welding, including cutting metal components to the appropriate size and shape. Set up welding equipment, including gas tanks, torches, and regulators. Perform welding activities using the Tig welding process. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards. Maintain welding equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions. Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when welding. Be open minded to new methods of automation which require non conventional practices with regard to welding Inspect parts produced to the company's quality standards, and fitment to the fixture Fully competent to spot weld Operator places two pieces of metal into a machine and the machine heats the metal to spot weld Welds metal parts together using both gas welding and any combination of arc welding processes Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
