Theatre Scrub Nurse
Job Description
• Assisting the surgeon : Scrub nurses work directly with surgeons in the sterile field, passing them instruments and sponges, and helping with procedures.
• Maintaining hygiene and sterility : Scrub nurses keep surgical instruments clean and ready for use.
• Monitoring patient vital signs : Scrub nurses monitor and record a patient's vital signs throughout surgery.
• Giving preoperative instructions : Scrub nurses provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Ensuring instrument count : Scrub nurses ensure that all instruments and sponges are accounted for and notify the surgeon of the count.
• Putting away equipment : Scrub nurses put away instruments and equipment after surgery.
• Helping with dressing : Scrub nurses help with dressing the patient after surgery.
• Removing drapes : Scrub nurses remove drapes after surgery.
• De-gowning : Scrub nurses de-gown the patient and prepare them for the recovery room.
• Communicating : Scrub nurses communicate clearly with surgeons and explain procedures to patients.

Pay: ?11,002.90 - ?28,141.58 per month
