Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning & Delivery: Develop and deliver well-structured lesson plans for Social Science, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster student engagement and respect.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Assess student understanding through various methods including tests, assignments, and class discussions. Provide constructive feedback to students and track their academic progress.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of Social Science curriculum and instructional materials, incorporating innovative teaching methods and resources.
• Student Support: Identify students who require additional support and provide extra help or resources to address their needs. Encourage and support students' intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills.
• Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding students' academic performance, behavior, and any concerns. Hold parent-teacher conferences as needed.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest educational practices and trends in Social Science.
• Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and support school activities and events related to Social Science, such as debates, model United Nations, or history fairs.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Social Science, History, Geography, or a related field. A B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred. Familiarity with Social Science curriculum and teaching methodologies is advantageous.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
