Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Curriculum Delivery
• Lesson Planning :
• Develop engaging and comprehensive lesson plans for Social Science subjects in line with the school's curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
• Cover core topics in History, Geography, Political Science, and Civics, ensuring students understand key concepts and historical events.
• Classroom Instruction :
• Deliver well-structured lessons that help students connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
• Use a variety of teaching aids and strategies, such as multimedia presentations, field trips, debates, discussions, and case studies, to enhance learning.
• Assessment and Evaluation :
• Design and implement regular assessments, quizzes, assignments, and projects to gauge student progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to improve their understanding of concepts.
• Board Exam Preparation :
• Prepare students for board exams, focusing on exam patterns, writing techniques, and important topics.
• Conduct revision sessions, mock tests, and sample paper exercises to ensure students are well-prepared.
Student Engagement
• Encourage critical thinking and discussions on current affairs, historical events, and societal issues to help students make connections between history and modern-day events.
• Use interactive teaching methods, including debates, role plays, and group projects, to engage students in active learning.
Resource Creation and Management
• Develop and update study materials, worksheets, and handouts for students, ensuring that they are in line with the curriculum and age-appropriate.
• Utilize digital tools, smartboards, and online platforms to enrich classroom instruction.
Parent and School Communication
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, performance, and areas for improvement.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and contribute to discussions on student development and academic performance.
Extracurricular Contributions
• Organize and participate in Social Science-related activities such as quizzes, debates, and exhibitions on topics like history, geography, or political science.
• Support and encourage students to participate in external competitions, like history or geography Olympiads, and model United Nations (MUN).
