Job Description

Teaching and Instruction:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that align with the CBSE English curriculum for classes IX to XII.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students and enhance their understanding of literature, grammar, and language skills.

Curriculum Development:

• Develop and update lesson plans, unit plans, and teaching resources in accordance with the CBSE syllabus.
• Incorporate contemporary literary works, media, and technology to make lessons relevant and interesting.

Student Assessment:

• Design, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, tests, and examinations to evaluate student performance.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Classroom Management:

• Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Implement and enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a respectful and productive learning environment.

Professional Development:

• Stay updated with the latest developments in English literature, language studies, and teaching methodologies.
• Participate in professional development programs, workshops, and seminars.

Use of Technology:

• Integrate technology into teaching to enhance the learning experience, using tools such as interactive whiteboards, educational software, and online resources.
• Encourage students to use digital tools for research, writing, and presentations.

Student Support:

• Provide additional support to students who are struggling with language skills, including remedial classes or one-on-one tutoring.
• Encourage and mentor students who show a strong aptitude for English literature and language.

Extra-Curricular Activities:

• Organize and participate in English-related extracurricular activities such as literature clubs, debate teams, and writing competitions.
• Encourage students to participate in regional, national, and international literary contests and events.

Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching English.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.

Administrative Duties:

• Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
• Participate in school meetings, committees, and other school events as required.

Mentorship and Guidance:

• Provide guidance and counseling to students regarding academic choices and career paths in English and related fields.
• Help students develop critical thinking, analytical, and interpretative skills through the study of literature and language.

Cultural and Language Development:

• Promote an appreciation of different cultures and perspectives through the study of diverse literary works.
• Encourage students to develop their creative writing skills and express themselves effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
