Textile Designer Responsibilities & Duties:

Create original designs and patterns for a variety of textiles

Develop and present design concepts and prototypes

Collaborate with fashion designers, product developers, and manufacturers

Stay updated on current trends in fabric, color, and textile technology

Experiment with different materials and textures

Work with CAD software to create digital designs

Prepare detailed specifications and color palettes

Oversee the production of sample textiles

Review and provide feedback on fabric samples

Meet with clients and stakeholders to understand design requirements

Ensure that designs are both aesthetically pleasing and functional

Adapt existing designs to new fabrics and products

Research and source sustainable and innovative materials

Manage timelines and budgets for design projects

Maintain a portfolio of completed designs and projects

Textile Designer Qualifications & Skills:

Experience with various textile production techniques

Strong understanding of color theory and color matching

Knowledge of current textile trends and market demands

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and CAD programs

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to translate client needs into creative solutions

Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly materials

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field

Proven 4 to 8 yrs of experience as a textile designer or in a similar role

Strong portfolio showcasing creative and innovative textile designs

Proficiency in textile design software

Knowledge of various fabrics and material properties

Excellent drawing and sketching skills

Strong understanding of the textile production process

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time effectively

Attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetics

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
