JOB SUMMARY





Responsible for product testing, validation & documentation during new product development. Specifies testing procedure for new product functional requirements, Tests and evaluates the design's overall efficiency, endurance, reliability, and safety. Will be responsible to create P&ID, piping layout, Mechanical design of Skids. Good hands-on 2D & 3D software (inventor) for mechanical piping design and layout. AutoCAD In Inventor proficiency is a must. Good in Food process knowledge. Creates and reviews test specifications and procedure. Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, designers, and product specialists during prototyping & testing.




PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





• To conduct Performance, endurance testing & validation of SPX Flow Products like - pumps, valves, Mixers, Homogenizers
• Responsible for completing validation plan in the entrusted projects in Time & in Specification.
• Collaborate with engineering team to understand testing requirements.
• To Understand testing objectives, define testing procedure & plan.
• Configure and setup test facility to the needed testing specifications. system integration of test equipment's with the electrical, utilities, CIP, data acquisitions, sensors, etc. Developing testing fixtures to the requirement.
• Responsible for initial testing setup as the test procedure and validation. Create documentation for Initial Qualification and Testing qualification.
• Conduct test, record observation, Tear down and assembly of products for testing.
• Responsible for maintaining Testing specifications, Preparation, and circulation of test reports, summarizing testing observations, characteristics & identifying potential opportunities if any for new product development process.
• Comply with Design Control and Stage Gate processes while testing & validating prototypes and products.
• Shall be working closely with core team for Design lab and the suppliers/vendors
• Creating P&ID, piping layout, Mechanical design of Skids.
• Define piping requirements. Prepare and review drawings,
• Good hands-on 2D & 3D software for mechanical piping design and layout. Autocad proficiency is a must.
• Creation of tank spec., Drawings and review supplier drawings, Quality check at supplier during execution.
• keep track of all the drawing revisions, BOQ, instrumentation list, etc.
• Closely co-ordinate with vendors and understand the specifications and implement in the P&ID and layout, inspection at site/supplier, monitoring the progress. Escalate risk to Quality and Ontime delivery
• Responsible for calibration & troubleshooting of instruments like flowmeters, pressure gauges etc.
• Participate in reviews, document, and resolve open issues.
• Responsible for maintaining & following all safety standards, protocols for personnel & equipment's at the designated testing area.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to think creatively to create solutions, drive execution and focus on results.
• Perform periodic inspection and reporting on the products and its components under test during endurance testing.
• Responsible trouble shooting to avoid any down time.
• Maintain needed stock of consumable materials, instruments/hand tools with the right specifications.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory records of test products, history/revisions of test results, documentations, instruments, tools, etc.






KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES





• Experience in performance & endurance testing of Hygienic equipment's, like Centrifugal, PD pump & valves.
• Experience in preparing & executing testing plans for pumps & valves for on time delivery in co-ordination with Engineering team
• Should be able to gather, interpret & analyses historical performance data.
• Should be able to size accessories like coupling, motors & VFD's required for testing.
• Ability to understand pumping systems, P&ID's.
• Ability of understanding Design standards and regulatory requirements preferred.
• Ability to design / fabricate fixtures for mechanical & electrical/electronic components at testing facility.
• Knowledge of hygiene industry standards like 3-A, EHEDG, ASME-BPE preferred.
• Knowledge on "LabVIEW" or similar software's with programming skills preferred.
• Should have knowledge on the standards related to piping and welding.
• Experience of working Project involving fluid processing, Piping in F & B sector.
• Should have strong experience in creating P&ID, piping layout.
• Good hands-on 2D mechanical piping design and layout. 3D Piping would be additional, minimum AutoCAD & Inventor proficiency needed.
• Experience in developing tank drawings, manufacturing process - Exposure to high pressure vessels, SILOs, Sanitary, pilot plant, jacketing on the tanks is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, proven project handling skills and a positive energy. Good team player.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain focus on priorities. Maintain flexibility as priorities change. Be aware of short timelines from start to finish of project.
• Utilize software programs such as (but not limited to) MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint.
• Ability to perform tear down of pumps create reports & stand for long hours. Physically fit to lift 8-10 kg of weight during pump assemblies and testing.
• Ability to do Material handling, movement using pallet truck or cranes, install products for testing and uninstall.
• Should be skillful in using the various measurement devices to the accuracy during the teardowns and reporting.






EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE





Diploma or B.E in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering with 6 to 10 years of Hygienic equipment testing / Projects and maintenance.
