Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial & Industrial Testing and Commissioning Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in testing and commissioning within the Gulf, Africa, or European regions. The selected candidate will receive training on ETAP 22.5 to perform comprehensive power system studies and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Testing and Commissioning : Execute testing and commissioning of power systems in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Data Gathering : Collect data on-site or via online video support to facilitate accurate power system analysis.
• Power System Studies : After training, utilize ETAP 22.5 to perform load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, arc flash analysis, and protection coordination studies.
• Report Generation : Develop detailed power system study and analysis reports, including recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
• Labeling and Documentation : Create accurate system labels and documentation for electrical components and systems.
• Training and Support : Provide training and support to customers and their technicians on the usage of ETAP and interpretation of power system analysis results.
• Compliance and Mitigation : Support compliance activities and help in identifying and mitigating potential issues.
• Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance overall project outcomes.
• Project Management : Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Must-Have Skills

• Technical Proficiency : Strong understanding of electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Testing and Commissioning : Hands-on experience in testing and commissioning of power systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Data Collection : Ability to gather and interpret data accurately, both on-site and remotely.
• Report Writing : Excellent technical writing skills for developing comprehensive analysis reports.
• Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer support and training.
• Problem-Solving : Analytical skills to diagnose and troubleshoot power system issues.
• Project Management : Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
• Adaptability : Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and methodologies, including ETAP 22.5.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Regional Experience : Prior experience working in the Gulf, Africa, or European regions.
• Language Skills : Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the regions mentioned.
• Advanced Analysis : Familiarity with advanced power system analysis techniques and tools.
• Software Integration : Knowledge of integrating ETAP with other engineering software tools.
• Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with local and international electrical standards and regulations.
• Innovation : Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance power system performance.

Industry Experience

• Commercial and Industrial Sectors : Experience in power system engineering within commercial and industrial environments.
• International Projects : Exposure to international projects and ability to navigate different regulatory landscapes.
• Renewable Energy : Understanding of renewable energy systems and their integration into existing power systems.
• Utility Services : Experience working with utility companies and understanding their operational requirements.
