The Test Manager has to own the testing management function within the agreed scope, by providing end to end test management governance to all the programs and phases.
Manages all activities involved in the end to end testing process, including strategy, planning, execution, quality assessment, issue resolution, daily update calls and reporting.
Discusses with all stakeholders, designs and creates the Test approach and build it as a strategy and get it signed off from correct authority.
Plans and conducts the Test Entry and Test Exit gate meetings with all stakeholders (GO/NOGO meetings)
Prepares and executes the different test levels, monitors the progress and reports the result of the test execution and defect status to relevant stakeholders.
Building and managing the internal test team and giving necessary guidance wherever need for client test team.
Producing the Test complete report or Exit report - articulating all testing completed and giving reasons and mitigation plans for tests not completed.
Similarly publishing defects closure reports, explaining resolution used and giving reasons and mitigation plans for defects not closed. * Is responsible to configure the Test & Defect Management Tool, train all testers, issue resolvers & stake holders to use the tool.
