The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

This role has full accountability for all phase of testing. The successful candidate will use previous Test Management experience and knowledge of application / product and infrastructure testing to develop, implement, maintain, and improve overall programme test management strategy.

They will also be responsible for providing QC and QA oversight to individual projects.

QA and Control across all projects in a defined portfolio.This role will focus on IT system development, including adherence to the system development framework to ensure quality project IT deliverables.

The scope of the role will include projects already included as well as projects yet to be approved and activated as part of the Programme Vision. It is therefore essential to provide tactical as well as strategic test planning to address future direction of the programme.

Processes

  • Designing and reviewing the test scripts.
  • Reviewing the test execution results.
  • Reviewing the final test results.
  • Good understanding and able to apply test processes laid down within Testing Framework and / or standards as defined by project and SCB.
People and Talent
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.
  • Set appropriate tone and expectations from team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
Risk Management
  • Have ability to raise issues and Risk in testing with Team and stakeholders in time.
Governance
  • Responsible for assessing effectiveness of Testing and provide effective Test governance.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, IT or related areas
  • Good knowledge in both Manual and Automation testing
  • Good in communication, Stakeholder management, team engagement.
  • Familiar with Confluence, JIRA process and Testing methodologies.
  • Must have technical skills
  • SQL
  • Pyspark - (Python +Spark)
  • ETL testing
  • Shell scripting
  • Good to have - Automation skills
  • Primary: Selenium, Cucumber / BDD framework
  • Understanding of Test automation standard and test automation technology compliance.
  • Good knowledge of ADO tool and be able to create Dashboard.
  • Take a proactive approach to save effort and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of the test automation suite and meet planned ROI on a regular basis.
  • Knowledgeable to prepare estimates for large projects.
  • Deliver projects within cost, schedule and quality.
  • Creative to resolve technical challenges during scripting and execution.
  • Understand the business criticality of the application and ensure risks / issues are captured.
  • Implement standard test reporting.
  • Planning and manage test environments.
  • Test evidence to be as per the regulatory compliances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
