Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue from various products (Products & solutions driven sales, Preventive Maintenance Agreements at time of sales, calibration services, Foss software services, Digital Business, etc.), fostering customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence.The Job, Department
Join our team as a Territory Sales Manager & your responsibility will include planning and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, collaborating with the Sales/service team, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you\'ll work closely with colleagues and interact daily with customers to ensure their needs are met.Primary tasks

  • Meeting the sales targets of the organization through effective planning
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations within assigned territory
  • Perform sales calls and lead generation and develop good relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory
  • Uncover competitor strategies, market trends, and translate insights into winning product development and market positioning plans
  • Liaising with Government bodies like Institutes, GeM & Agri Ministry for strategic decisions
  • Drive territory sales growth exceeding budget targets while prioritizing customer satisfaction
  • Create sales strategies for each account including Key Accounts and National Accounts
  • Develop and execute a territory plan with measurable goals, product line revenue targets, and a clear action timeline
  • Maintain meticulous records for prospects, sales planning, proposals, calls, quotes, and pricing, utilizing the CRM system for efficient data management

We imagine that you have:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within instrument sales, capital equipment selling, business development, profitable revenue generation
  • A bachelor\'s degree in engineering/life science background and Business Administration (MBA), or a related field
  • Proficiency in handling quotations, closing the deals thru techno-commercial discussions, payment follow-ups, etc
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English and Hindi, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of technical concepts relevant to FOSS India\'s products and services would be beneficial
  • A proactive attitude, with a focus on customer satisfaction and business objectives
