Territory Sales Incharge - FMCG
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Territory Sales Incharge to oversee and manage sales operations within a designated territory for our FMCG products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing relationships with distributors and retailers, and driving business growth. This role requires strong leadership, sales acumen, and the ability to execute sales strategies effectively across the territory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales Target Achievement: Take full ownership of sales targets for the territory, ensuring both primary and secondary sales targets are met or exceeded.
• Territory Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the assigned region, focusing on market penetration and expanding product reach.
• Distributor & Retailer Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and stockists to ensure product availability, visibility, and optimal sales execution.
• Team Supervision & Support: Lead and guide a team of sales representatives to ensure effective sales execution, training, and performance.
• Sales Planning & Execution: Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies, action plans, and promotional activities to drive growth and achieve business goals.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor the market, track competitor activities, and gather customer insights to adjust sales strategies and stay competitive.
• Sales Reporting & Feedback: Prepare regular sales reports, track performance, and share insights with management on market trends, challenges, and opportunities.
• Promotions & Campaigns: Collaborate with the marketing team to implement and execute in-store promotions, product launches, and other campaigns to boost sales in the territory.
• Customer Relationship Management: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining long-term relationships with key accounts.
Key Requirements (Education, Work Experience & Skills):
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or related field).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales or territory management within the FMCG sector.
• Proven experience in distributor management , primary and secondary sales , and territory sales execution .
• Strong leadership , communication , and negotiation skills.
• Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and promotional activities .
• Proficiency in CRM software , sales tracking , and Microsoft Office tools.
• Fluency in English , Hindi , and the local language (preferred).
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
