Job Description


Position Summary:

The Territory Account Manager position will be responsible for generating sales and maintaining customer relationships with key and strategic accounts identified in a defined territory.

All About You

Responsibilities:

  • Development of a territory and key account-specific sales plan.
  • Maintaining up to date opportunity pipeline and customer records in Salesforce.com database
  • Effectively prospect and generate new customer leads.
  • Responsible for developing high value customer accounts through the sale of Illumina's products and services
  • Demonstrate role and relevance of Illumina's product portfolio and provide consultation to customers on same.
  • Demonstrate command of scientific knowledge to engage in collaborative sale.
  • Partner cross-functionally to appropriately address the needs of customer base.
  • Develop and own a district-based key accounts strategy for service providers and strategic accounts in alignment with Illuminas global strategy. Drive sustainable key account growth.
  • Engage customers in complex sales environment.
  • Successfully navigate and manage a multi-tiered sales.
  • Delivery of technical/scientific seminars and presentations on Illumina products and their capabilities.
  • Provides regular and accurate sales forecast updates.

Requirements:
  • Experience in engaging customers in a complex sales environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and grow key accounts through networking at all levels within the customer organization.
  • Evidence of high level sales ability.
  • Highly motivated and successful individual who enjoys a challenging and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong desire to win business and establish long term customer relationships.
Education:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in high level sale and 8 years overall sales experience.
  • Life Science Degree is required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Technical background in molecular biology or genomics is required.
