• Tender Preparation : The tendering manager is responsible for preparing comprehensive and accurate tender documents in line with the client's requirements and specifications.
• Estimation and Costing : They oversee the estimation and costing process, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and competitive pricing strategies are developed to win contracts while maintaining profitability.
• Bid Management : Managing the entire bid process from the initial invitation to tender through to contract award or rejection. This involves coordinating with internal departments such as engineering, procurement, and finance.
• Contract Review : Reviewing tender documents, contracts, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Client Communication : Acting as the main point of contact for clients during the tendering process, addressing queries, providing clarifications, and negotiating terms when necessary.
• Risk Management : Identifying potential risks associated with tender submissions and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize the likelihood of losses.
• Market Analysis : Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities, understand competitor strategies, and stay updated on industry trends.
• Relationship Management : Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to enhance the company's reputation and competitiveness.
• Technical Support : Providing technical support to the sales team and assisting with the development of technical proposals and solutions to meet client requirements.
• Quality Assurance : Ensuring that tender submissions meet the highest quality standards and are submitted within deadlines.
• Performance Evaluation : Monitoring the performance of tender submissions, analyzing success rates, and identifying areas for improvement in the tendering process.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintaining accurate records of tender submissions, contracts, and correspondence, and preparing regular reports for management review.
• Continuous Improvement : Continuously reviewing and improving tendering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Compliance : Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies governing the tendering process and contract execution.
