Job Title: Tendering Engineer / Tendering Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tendering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process, from initial identification of opportunities to submission and post-submission activities. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various internal stakeholders and customers.

Job Location : Thuraipakkam, chennai

Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate tender opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives. Preferably electrical and mechanical background
• Knowledge in GEM, E-procurement, IREPS portals on identifying tenders, uploading catalogue, submission of tenders etc.,
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to gather necessary information and documentation for tender preparation.
• Prepare and review tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and specifications.
• Develop pricing strategies and proposals that maximize the company's competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
• Collaborate with sales, legal, finance, and other teams to address tender-related queries and requirements.
• Manage tender submission timelines and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
• Participate in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Maintain a database of tender documents, contracts, and relevant information for future reference and analysis.
• Perform cost comparisons on quotes, identify critical aspects of execution and price fixing.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact tendering processes.

Qualifications:

• Engineering Diploma / Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or supply chain management or equivalent degree.
• Should have proven experience in tendering, bid management, or procurement preferably in MEP Items.
• Candidates who are familiar with process of GEM, E-procurement, Railway tenders are preferred.
• Strong understanding of tendering processes, including RFP/RFQ issuance, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
• Previous experience working with government contracts and procurement regulations is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tender management software/tools.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical solutions to complex challenges.
