We are seeking a detail-oriented Tender Executive to manage the end-to-end tendering process for metal fabrication and construction projects. The ideal candidate will identify relevant tenders, prepare documentation, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure timely submission of bids to secure contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tender Identification & Analysis
Research and track government and private sector tenders for metal fabrication, structural works, and construction projects.
Analyze tender documents, eligibility criteria, and technical requirements.
Assess project feasibility, risk factors, and cost implications.
2. Tender Documentation & Submission
Prepare, compile, and submit complete tender documents, including technical, financial, and legal paperwork.
Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to gather required details.
Ensure compliance with tender specifications and regulatory requirements.
Upload and manage tender submissions on online portals (e.g., GeM, CPPP, eProcurement).
3. Cost Estimation & Pricing Strategy
Work with finance and procurement teams to determine competitive pricing for metal fabrication and construction projects.
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates, ensuring accurate pricing for materials, labor, and overheads.
Analyze market trends and competitors' pricing strategies to optimize bid success.
4. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal departments to gather necessary tender-related information.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope.
Handle tender clarifications and queries from clients or authorities.
5. Compliance & Documentation Management
Ensure all statutory, legal, and financial documents (licenses, certifications, GST, PAN, MSME, turnover reports, EMD, BG) are up to date.
Maintain accurate records of tender submissions, approvals, and rejections for future reference.
6. Follow-ups & Negotiation
Track submitted tenders and follow up with tendering authorities for updates.
Participate in price negotiations and contract finalization if required.
Assist in contract documentation and agreement signing after successful bid awards.
7. Market Research & Competitor Analysis
Monitor industry trends, competitor bidding patterns, and new business opportunities.
Identify strategies to improve future tender submissions and bid success rates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field.
Experience: 2-5 years in tendering, preferably in metal fabrication, structural steelwork, or construction.
Knowledge:
Understanding of fabrication drawings, materials (stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum), and construction methodologies.
Familiarity with government and private e-tendering platforms (GeM, CPPP, eProcurement, NHAI, PWD, CPWD, etc.).
Awareness of taxation, EMD (Earnest Money Deposit), and financial bid preparation.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD (preferred), and BOQ preparation.
Ability to prepare tender reports and bid analysis.
Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities.
