Job Title: Tender and Contracts Manager
Location: Head Quarter - Ahmedabad
Reports to: Contracts Lead
Job Summary:
The Civil Tender and Contracts Manager is responsible for managing the tendering and contract processes for civil engineering projects. This role involves rate analysis, negotiation, preparation of tenders based on Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and project requirements, and overseeing pre-contract and post-contract activities to ensure compliance and project success. Key Responsibilities: Rate Analysis and Negotiation:
Conduct detailed rate analysis for civil engineering projects.
Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
Ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money in procurement processes. Tender Preparation:
Prepare and compile tenders based on BOQs and specific project requirements.
Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.
Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
Ensure compliance with tender procedures and submission deadlines. Pre-Contract Management:
Review and evaluate contract terms and conditions.
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of pre-contract agreements.
Liaise with legal and commercial teams to mitigate risks and ensure contractual compliance.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Post-Contract Management:
Monitor and manage contract performance and compliance.
Handle variations, claims, and disputes in accordance with contractual terms.
Maintain accurate records of all contract-related activities and communications.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of contract status and performance metrics. Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Act as the primary point of contact for all tender and contract-related inquiries.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on tender and contract activities. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement in tendering and contract management.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and standards. Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in tendering, contract management, and rate analysis in the civil engineering or construction industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD, contract management software).
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of local construction laws and regulations.
