Job Description

Role Overview:

As a Biometric Device Support Specialist with on-call responsibilities, you will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving issues related to biometric devices such as fingerprint scanners, facial recognition systems, and iris scanners. This role requires availability beyond regular business hours to address urgent problems and ensure the continuous operation of biometric systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Issue Diagnosis and Resolution:

• Perform troubleshooting of biometric devices to identify hardware and software issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to analyze problems and implement corrective actions.
• Provide solutions both remotely and on-site, as necessary.

On-Call Duties:

• Be available to respond to emergency troubleshooting requests outside regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure rapid response times to on-call incidents and maintain availability as per the on-call schedule.
• Manage on-call rotations and coordinate with other team members to ensure coverage.

Installation and Configuration:

• Assist with the installation and configuration of new biometric devices as required.
• Customize device settings and software to meet client specifications.

Maintenance and Support:

• Conduct routine maintenance checks and preventive measures to ensure device functionality.
• Provide ongoing support to users, addressing issues as they arise and preventing future problems.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Keep accurate records of troubleshooting processes, resolutions, and device performance.
• Prepare reports on recurring issues and suggest improvements.

Client Interaction:

• Communicate with clients to understand their issues and provide timely updates and solutions.
• Offer training and guidance to end-users on device usage and troubleshooting.

Collaboration:

• Work with IT professionals and vendors to address complex issues and implement solutions.
• Stay current with advancements in biometric technology and integrate best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Proven experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, especially with biometric devices.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of biometric technologies (fingerprint, facial recognition, iris scanning).
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network configurations.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?10,000.00 per month
