This position will serve as a Telecommunication/Networking Engineer with demonstrated subject matter expertise in industrial Telecommunications, fiber optic & copper cabling, and associated cabling infrastructure, network design, and equipment requirements. Responsibilities: . Provide technical direction, guidance, and demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of the ISP & OSP fiber optic/copper (CAT 6 & above) cabling and associated cabling infrastructure [MDF/IDF Room &Telephone Closet design & layout, cabinet/panel & enclosure layout, cabling pathway design]. . Develop and implement effective cabling and infrastructure designs that include providing specifications, cable schedules and drawings that comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. . Develop and implement effective network and networking equipment designs that include providing specifications, schedules and drawings that comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. . Apply working knowledge of BICSI, IBC, ANSI/TIA, and NFPA regulatory and code requirements to site facilities. . Familiarity with Telephone, LAN/WAN and Distributed Antenna System requirements Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements . Availability to work locally in Fluor\'s Sugarland, TX office (Office position) . Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrical Engineering (Associates or BS) a plus, which may offset some required years of experience. . Experience in 2D Microstation or AutoCAD drawing, S3D Modeling, or Revit Modeling for preparing detailed design deliverables and design packages. Preferred Qualifications . Membership in technical society .Experience with Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Building Code (IBC), and American National Standards Institute/Telecommunications Industry Association (ANSI/TIA) codes and standards. . Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting . Practical field experience . Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs To be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
