Domain Architect/BSS ArchitectDepartment OverviewA Domain Architect is typically assigned to a specific Sub-Domain under BSS in a single project or project release, assisting in the translation of requirements into a solution vision, system specifications, and implementation tasks in accordance with the overall IT strategy and architecture. This role ensures all applications are compliant with Open Digital Architecture, TMF and Open APIs for a given business problem using enterprise standards.Principle Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Works with the business on future product direction and technology capability through relevant engagement processes\xc2\xb7 Understanding on Sales/CRM processes for B2C and B2B both. O2A experience in the solution designer\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the sign off of requirements with the Business Analyst\xc2\xb7 Carries out requirements management and scope assessments based on technical and budget constraints (will work closely with the Engagement leads)\xc2\xb7 Inputs into architectural discussions and the resulting Architectural artefacts for a given solution\xc2\xb7 Input into the estimation process during the Concept and Feasibility stages of projects\xc2\xb7 Identifying the scope and scale of the change needed to satisfy the project requirements\xc2\xb7 Produces and owns the E2E Solution Design Document which will be the reference for the technical implementation\xc2\xb7 Ensure any detailed platform solution designs are produced and aligned with the E2E Solution Design Document\xc2\xb7 Responsible for alignment of Technical Solution with project requirements including definition of project phasing and work package breakdown\xc2\xb7 Responsible for briefing the solution design to the development leads and relevant architecture and design forums\xc2\xb7 Gathers input from Business Analysts and other relevant parties (eg. User Experience) to coordinate and produce Functional Specification document as a follow-on from the Solution Design to a level of detail required for implementation\xc2\xb7 Supervise and review the deliverables produced by the development teams for their projects\xc2\xb7 Verify the technical specification produced by the development teams against the solution design\xc2\xb7 Owns the project list of technical issues or queries and works closely with the delivery team to agree and communicate resolution\xc2\xb7 Provides input to the delivery team on the scope of the solution to help with the construction of the delivery plan\xc2\xb7 Gain mutual agreement on the design with the Development Leads and delivery managers\xc2\xb7 Work with Service Transition on the deployment plans and the non-functional requirements for the solution\xc2\xb7 Incorporates 3rd party deliverables into overall solution\xc2\xb7 Accountable for ensuring that the E2E Solution Design remains up to date throughout the lifecycle of the project; that it represents the solution which is deployed; and that the final solution is communicated back to Architecture to baseline production environments/infrastructure and to any other interested parties\xc2\xb7 Adhere to guidelines established by (Enterprise) Architecture, Operations, and Information Security for all solutionsRequired Experience\xc2\xb7 Good knowledge of software principles and design experience with relevant platform\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience working in Dital Transformation.\xc2\xb7 Good knowledge of working with Jira, Confluence and other Design tools like draw.io, visio etc.\xc2\xb7 Thorough understanding of Open Digital Architecture, TMF Frameworks, Open APIs etc.\xc2\xb7 Experience of UML design principles\xc2\xb7 Proven experience of working with technical teams. At all levels, from design through to development and implementation\xc2\xb7 Able to coordinate design decisions for systems to be delivered by multiple suppliers, both internal and external\xc2\xb7 Ability to lead design discussions with third party vendors\xc2\xb7 Understanding of development methodology and software development\xc2\xb7 IT related degree or similar, preferred\xc2\xb7 Other IT industry qualifications and evidence of vocational training/experience\xc2\xb7 Experience of designing solutions in a multi-tiered IT infrastructure.\xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences\xc2\xb7 The ability to make decisions on major technical and delivery issues\xc2\xb7 Excellent communications skills both verbal and written\xc2\xb7 Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills, and is comfortable at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations\xc2\xb7 A broad understanding across the whole of the software life cycle with a record of having applied the knowledge successfully in a variety of situations\xc2\xb7 Has a comprehensive knowledge of software process models and quality assurance..
