Position Overview: The Telecaller plays a vital role in driving business growth by making
outbound calls to potential customers or clients. The primary objective of a telecaller is to
promote products, services, or campaigns, generate leads, and schedule appointments for the
sales team. The telecaller interacts with prospects over the phone, providing information about
offerings and addressing their inquiries to persuade them to take the desired action.
Key Responsibilities:
Outbound Calls: Make proactive outbound calls to a list of potential customers or clients
provided by the organization. Introduce the company\'s products, services, or
promotional offers.
Lead Generation: Identify and generate leads through cold calling, warm calling, and
follow-ups. Maintain a database of potential customers and update it regularly.
Product/Service Promotion: Present and explain the features and benefits of products or
services to potential customers, focusing on how they address their needs or pain points.
Appointment Setting: Schedule appointments for the sales team with interested prospects
who express willingness to know more or make a purchase.
Follow-Up Calls: Conduct follow-up calls with prospects who have shown initial interest
but require further information or time to make a decision.
Customer Inquiry Handling: Address incoming customer inquiries and provide relevant
information regarding products, services, pricing, and any other queries they may have.
Sales Target Achievement: Work towards achieving individual and team-based sales
targets and goals set by the organization.
Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all interactions, call details, and
outcomes in the organization\'s CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
Communication: Ensure effective communication with potential customers to build
rapport, understand their needs, and provide solutions accordingly.
Sales Scripts and Training: Follow provided scripts and undergo necessary training to
maintain consistency and professionalism during calls.
Market Research: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market
conditions to improve call effectiveness and product knowledge.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on call metrics, leads generated, and appointments
scheduled to the team lead or supervisor.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent education. Additional qualifications in sales or
marketing are a plus.
Proven experience in telemarketing, tele-sales, or customer service is an advantage but
not mandatory.
Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and pleasant phone voice.
Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities to effectively influence potential customers.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment and meet set performance goals.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office
Suite.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good time management skills to balance calling volume and follow-up activities.
Patience and resilience to handle rejection and remain positive during challenging calls.
