Leading a shared production support team for an American automobile client with team based out of our Hyderabad, India location
Lead the team to take over production support for projects which have gone live, and new releases for projects under production support.
Lead the production support team to meet the commitments for the multiple projects - agreed deliverables on schedule, budget and quality as per the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including on-call support for 24x7 coverage
Proactively manage team capacity and shift handling
Implement client\'s development methodologies and standards across various applications
Provide periodic status reports to client and management
Perform periodic root cause analysis and identify process improvements
Mentor the teams to be more effective and capable - in functional, technical, and process dimensions
Define, implement and improve processes for production support
Experience:-
10 to 12 years of experience, with proven managerial abilities - with at least 4 years\' experience in leading an enterprise application production support team
Experience with management of production support for large clients in any domain - e.g. Automobile, Asset Management, insurance, Banking, telecom, ERP, preferably automobile
Should have come from a development background with sound knowledge in technologies like Java/PHP/.NET, SQL/Oracle/MySQL, Oracle SOA, APIs (SOAP/Rest) etc.
Familiarity with work management tools for production support e.g. Jira, Service Now, Client ALM (formerly Client QC) etc.
Sound knowledge of Project Management practices, certification in project management/ ITIL Certification would be a plus
Experience with global customers, especially North America
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Engineering degree, preferably in Computer Science
Experienced with working in a Matrix management environment.
Fluent English, excellent communication skills
Willing to travel for a short terms as required for management and technical discussions
